About Me

This is my personal blog where I can post pictures, stories or talk about whatever I feel like. I started blogging when I was in year 3 in 2010, I am in year 5 this year and I live in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. I learnt a lot about blogging last year but I’m still learning new things.

My comment avatar is a picture of my ballet shoes and my flute. I did Grade 3 RAD ballet in year 3 and I started doing Grade 4 Cecchetti ballet last year, my exam is near Easter time and then I will be starting Grade 5 Cecchetti. I am doing Grade 4 flute and I joined the school band at the end of year 3. I enjoy my ballet and flute. I have been doing ballet for 8 years and I have been learning flute for 5 years. Last year I started learning tap dancing too and I did grade 1 and 2 together. This year I am doing grade 3. Tap is lots of fun and really different to ballet.

    Hi Emily,

You have done such a wonderful job with your blog over the last 6 months. We love seeing your photos and projects, reading your stories and listening to your speeches and music and it’s so lovely to see all of the places visitors have come from on your map. You’re very lucky to get to communicate with people in other countries in this way. We think you and your classmates on the Blog Dogs are very clever and Mr Squires must be so proud of all of you.

    Love Nan and Pop.

    Hi Emily

I always find something new on your blog that I haven’t seen before, like just finding the ‘About Me’ component of your blog. Life is full of interesting knowledge, adventures, imagination, friendships and a whole lot more, thanks for sharing some of that with me.

    Hi,
My name is Sarah. At our school we have to do something called global connections. That means we have to connect with someone overseas and talk to them. I really wanted to connect with someone in the USA so I picked Mr Avery’s blog then I found your blog and it’s really interesting. If you don’t mind can I ask you a few questions?
    1. How is school in the USA?
    2. What’s your favourite sport?
    3. Where abouts in America do you live?
    From Sarah

  8.   Emily Says:

    Hi Sarah,

Mr Avery in the USA has a link to my blog in his blogroll but I actually live in Australia too! Sorry! Maybe you could ask ScienceGirlEm instead? She likes lots of the same stuff I do and she is from America.

    Good luck with your project!

    Hi Laura,

I made the blog using Edublogs. They have free ones but my teacher paid to get the ones that don’t have ads and that let us use HTML. I have some posts about what you can do on the blog called Blog tips.

    Good luck!
